Minitab 16.2 Update Adds New Quality Improvement Features

This month we released an update to Minitab Statistical Software that adds new tools to your quality improvement arsenal. The update is free for Minitab 16 users.

Minitab 16.2 adds four new control charts to those already available in the software. Laney P' and U' control charts are similar to traditional P and U charts, but give you a more reliable indication of whether the process is truly in or out of control and eliminate false alarms. G and T charts help healthcare facilities and other businesses assess the time or opportunities between rare events.

Upcoming Events for Quality Improvement Professionals in Australia, New Zealand  

Two upcoming events hosted by Minitab Pty, our office in Sydney, Australia, will bring learning and networking opportunities to professionals in Australia, New Zealand, and throughout southeast Asia.  

"Simplifying Lean" is a free half-day event to be held in Melbourne on Friday, October 21 from 2-5 p.m. AEDT (GMT+10). Participants will find out how to simplify Lean deployments and reduce rework in Lean Six Sigma projects. Speakers will include a representative from George Weston Foods, one of Australia and New Zealand's largest food manufacturers, who will share how the company uses Minitab Quality Companion to streamline and standardize its quality improvement program.
